Trust through review

Trust starts with evidence— not confidence.

MESTRE shows the page behind each verified finding and keeps open questions visible.

Four product principles

A useful answer must remain reviewable.

These principles define how MESTRE should communicate what it found and what still needs a person.

01

Source before assertion

A supported finding should lead back to the tender package—not stop at a generated answer.

02

Uncertainty stays visible

A questionable finding should be reviewed, corrected, or rejected—not presented as certainty.

03

The package is authoritative

Tender documents, issued addenda, and the official pricing schedule take precedence over MESTRE’s interpretation.

04

A person decides

MESTRE supports professional review. It does not autonomously decide whether a contractor should bid.

Capability boundaries

What MESTRE can say—and what it cannot.

Clear boundaries are more valuable than overconfident product language.

01
MESTRE can

surface a requirement found in this part of the package.

MESTRE cannot

promise that the package contains no other relevant requirement.

02
MESTRE can

flag a referenced document that appears to be missing.

MESTRE cannot

promise that the tender package is complete or risk-free.

03
MESTRE can

extract quantities and pricing items supplied in the schedule.

MESTRE cannot

claim that those quantities were measured from construction drawings.

04
MESTRE can

provide a supervised review recommendation.

MESTRE cannot

make the final bid/no-bid decision.

How to review a finding

Four checks before it enters the working record.

  1. 01
    Read the finding

Understand what MESTRE believes may affect the tender.

  2. 02
    Open the source

Open the page that supports the finding.

  3. 03
    Check later addenda

Confirm whether the requirement was changed or replaced.

  4. 04
    Confirm or correct

The estimator decides what enters the Decision Sheet.
